There's those things in life that change your life drastically, for the better or for the worse, like upping or downsizing a size of clothing and you have to buy clothes that actually fit you again to having to change your life for yourself, or for another person, one or the other...
One little thing you do has a huge effect in life someway or another.
I had to learn that the hard way.
I never knew I'd find the perfect mate for me that was everything I wanted to have in a partner.
A caring person, someone who keeps me up when I'm down.
Someone who will actually know what i'm talking about when I'm talking geeky, as usual.
An individual that inspires me to do what I do today, let's playing.
Who would have guessed I'd fall for someone who may live far from me, but feels so close to my heart?
Enough being cheesy, pretty obviously I fell in love with my friend, Jon...Also known as ProtonJonSA.
I've looked up to him for years before I started LPing, if it wasn't for him I honestly wouldn't be where I am today.
I never thought I'd see the day where Jon and I would walk the aisle and say our vows. A ring keeping us together, body and spirit.
Having Jon in my life is the best thing that has ever happened to me.
I lied down beside my lover for a good night's rest.
I opened up my eyes to see light shine through the purple curtains of our hotel window, we were staying there until we had to leave for Canada tomorrow morning.
My stuff was already packed and ready to take over to my new place. I'm living with Jon...Now it's OUR home.
The marriage and honeymoon delayed my LPing and his for pretty much 2 and a half months. 1 month for the planning, and another month alone for our honeymoon in Vegas, the half is where we are staying in this dinky hotel.
I'm so glad we are leaving tomorrow. This cheap hotel room reeks, has fleas, also the cable here sucks. Well, it's true what they say, you get what you pay for.
I wiped my eyes and turned over to see Jon still asleep, I smiled, gave him a peck on the cheek and slid out of bed without making a peep.
Surprisingly the hotel owners were nice enough to install a stove/oven. I took advantage of that and went ahead and made some breakfast for the both of us.
Jon liked his daily breakfast of bacon and eggs with some orange juice on the side...We're out of orange juice, so he may have to settle for something else.
I began cooking bacon and eggs for the both of us.
Jon finally stepped in. "Good morning, hun" He said, smiling a bit, wiping his eyes tiredly.
"We're out of orange juice..." I replied, turning the bacon over.
Jon sighed. "Darn"
He walked over the fridge, which was mostly empty. We spent a majority of our money in Vegas, we are regretting it now, when we get to Canada that will change.
In a few minutes I finished cooking, I slid the bacon and eggs on to both of our plates and we chowed down like it was the least meal we'd ever have. Heh, it seems like it since the fridge is lacking food greatly. We don't even have milk for gosh sakes, and we ALWAYS have milk.
Jon settled to getting some water instead getting the orange juice we wish we had.
After we finished eating we settled down on the bed and set up the Wii, it was the only other thing that we could do that wasn't boring.
It was a long time since we've actually got back into video games, the marriage mumbo-jumbo just slid us off track from that. I don't regret it, I just wish we had time for our video games AND the marriage, but life doesn't work like that.
We had a hard time deciding what game we'd play, we haven't played our games in so long we kinda wanted to play all of them.
New Super Mario Bros. Wii was the only thing we'd agree on. Gah, I really was in a Kirby's Epic Yarn mood, but oh well, life's not fair sometimes!
I was Mario, Jon was Luigi. It's my Wii, after all so I get to choose!
As usual, me and Jon are the causes of each other's deaths. I swear, knocking Jon off the edge is hilarious, he gets so pissed, but we always laugh it off later.
We've played for about 2 hours already, it seems like 15 minutes to me, time flies when you're having fun!
Right about when we were near the goal I felt like I got a bellyache.
"Jon, I don't feel so good..." I said, pausing the game and getting up.
He put on a look of concern, along with adjusting his glasses.
"Are you alright?" He asked putting his arm around my shoulders.
God, I felt horrible, I sure hope those eggs were not bad...
"Were those eggs bad?" I asked, slipping out of his arms and looking into the fridge to look at the egg carton.
"We just got those eggs a week ago, they're basically fresh" Jon crossed his legs, sitting back down on the bed.
Jon was right. They didn't expire until another month.
"'Mile, go get some rest." Jon scooted me off to bed once again, and whatever Jon says, goes.
I didn't want to sleep, I was actually planning on getting a work-out today, but I can't let Jon get worried. He's so overprotective of my health and well-being.
It hurt to turn over even a bit.
"Ugghhhh..." I moaned.
Jon went to go get the thermometer, he came back quickly and stuck it in my mouth.
It beeped and Jon took it out. "104"
That was no good, I got a fever...I let out a small gasp.
"Looks like you have a fever, you need all the sleep you can get until this goes away..."
It was already tomorrow, Jon woke me up and told me to get ready for our flight, I got up feeling better, still a bit of stomach pain, but I was fine.
I packed up my things and was ready, most of it was already packed.
Oh great, I'm dizzy AND I got stomach pains?! I shrugged it off. Telling Jon that I'm having these problems will result in staying at this hotel longer, and this hotel is enough hell for me, I just wanna leave.
Putting on my best smile, I put my bags on the bed. "Ready to go?" I said, faking a giggle.
"Yep, just need to pack up the Wii, and we're ready to go." He said, smiling back.
That's good. Just need to fake it a bit longer...
A bit later, he had it all packed. "Okay, I'm ready to leave, let's go!"
We carried our bags out the door, gave the hotel owner back the keys and we got in the taxi that we scheduled and paid for ahead of time, luckily. The taxi took us to the airport, and from there we got our bags checked and got on our flight.
It was a long flight, but was worth it, we're finally....Home.
I laid down on Jon's bed and smiled, hugging the covers. "HOME SWEET HOME!" I said, happy as ever.
What home is complete without pets?
"Jon, don't forget to pick up my cats at the post office." I reminded him as I covered up.
Kinda weird having to ship animals out-of-state, at least they had plenty of food and water with them, it's safe as can be, I shouldn't worry since I've done it before.
"Wanna come with...If you feel up to it?" Jon asked me as he grabbed his keys.
I was still sick, even on the plane I had to use the barf bag a few times.
For my cats, I'd do anything, so I decided to join in.
A short distance later, we picked them up and headed home. They were still healthy and happy to see me, they were purring happily and rubbing on the edges of their cages.
We headed back home and let the cats inside, they were in a new area, but they'd get used to it in no time!
I headed back to bed. "Heading to bed so soon? It's only 3..." Jon said, stopping me.
Turning back, I said "Yeah, I need all the sleep I can get."
"If you don't get better by tomorrow, to the doctor you must go." Jon growled.
"Pffffhhh, I don't need to go to the doctor's I'm just fine, it's just a cold! I can sleep it off!" I replied, laying down.
The cats cuddled next to me, purring and happy to see me once again, I missed them so!
"Up you go, Mr.Conroy! Rise and shine!" Jon said, pulling off my covers.
Such a rude way to wake up... "Urrrrggghhh..." I groaned.
He took out a thermometer and stuck it in my mouth. "103 looks like it went down a little...Yeah, by 1."
"I'm not going to the doctor, and you can't make me!" I scooted away from him.
"Dammit Emile! Get up and let's go, you're sick!" He grabbed my arm and got me out of bed.
Before I knew it we were already in the car, heading to the hospital.
When we got to the hospital, we pretty much had to wait a long time, the place was packed.
I hate hospitals.
The smell of them.
It's so boring.
The magazines are all health-related, and boring.
Waiting times are forever.
Gah, hurry up.
Another minute, another....And oh my gosh, another!
I could be dead by now.
Jon was nice enough to let me take a nap.
Getting shook awake, god, I hate that.
"Emile, they're calling you back" Jon told me as he helped me get up.
I got up and headed back.
"Hello there, Mr.Wheeler...Wait, which one is Mr.Wheeler?" The nurse asked with a little giggle.
"Well, we are both Mr.Wheeler" I said with a little giggle also.
"He's the one with the appointment, I'm his husband" Jon told the nurse, pointing to me.
The nurse politely shook my hand.
"Okay, let's take your blood pressure." The nurse smiled as she put that weird inflatey-arm-band-thingy on me.
"What are your symptoms?" She asked me as she took off the device.
"I'm always tired, I'm also puking and running a fever" I told the nurse
"Highest temperature?" The nurse turned over to Jon.
"104" He replied.
"Okay, let's go to your room." She told us, getting up and leading us to my room.
Geez, I never noticed how fancy these Canadian hospitals are, the room is actually not that bad, at least it has better cable!
A flower wallpaper, nicely made sheets and a TV. Fancy indeed.
The doctor came in and we went through the 'who's-the-patient' scenario and he scanned through the notes the nurse wrote down.
"It may just be the flu, all you have to do is sleep" The doctor mentioned.
"I've had it for pretty much a week now, we've already tried that! Are you going to give me medicine or what?!" I told the doctor harshly.
Jon looked at me with a death glare and whispered "Emile, he's a doctor, he knows more than you do."
The doctor wrote some more notes and then left.
After a few minutes the doctor came back and handed me a cup and a sanitary wipe.
"We need a urine sample, the restroom is right across from this room, leave the sample in there, ring the buzzer next to the sink and we'll be there to pick it up." The doctor said, leaving the room.
I nodded and took the cup and headed for the restroom.
I did my business, rung the bell, left the cup in there and went back to my room.
God, I feel awkward letting someone have my piss.
I sat on the bed and waited.
About 15 minutes later the doctor came back with the results.
"Okay, Mr.Wheeler...We didn't find any harmful bacteria in your urine or anything wrong with it, I know I'm a doctor, but I have no idea what the problem is, It may a stomachache...But we should take an ultrasound just for sure, come with me." The doctor lead us out of the room to the ultrasound room.
Wierd, I thought it was a stomach virus if it lasted that long. I keep myself healthy, I don't get why I'm so sick like this...
I sat down on to the table and the doctor lifted up my polo shirt to expose my stomach. I blushed a little...I hope Jon didn't notice, he gets extremely jealous.
The doctor put some warm gel on to my stomach and put this device on to my stomach and moved it around to look at my stomach.
"My god." The doctor said softly, but bluntly.
"What is it, Doctor?!!" Jon freaked out.
"Uhh...Well..." The doctor bit his lip and scratched his head.
"GOD DAMMIT, TELL ME!" I yelled out harshly.
"Mr.Wheeler, apparently...You're at the first 2 months of...P-Pregnancy...Look." The doctor said gulping.
Me and Jon were speechless.
He pointed to a ball "That's the fetus forming"
"I'm pregnant?" I asked. "Are you for sure of this? I'm a male, it's impossible..." I continued starting to cry a little.
Jon put his arms around me "Don't worry, babe...You'll be fine..."
"I'm sure of this, out of all the tests nothing came up wrong with you, the ultrasound was the only thing left we could do, and we found the reason." The doctor said, wiping off the gel off of my stomach. "Never thought I'd see the day in the big world of science ever seeing a pregnant man, congratulations Mr.Wheeler." He said with a smile.
Everything was so overwhelming...
I opened my eyes and looked around to see I was at home.
"Good morning, sunshine..." Jon was by my side, holding my hand.
"Ughhh" I got up feeling better, but still groggy.
"You fainted at the hospital at the news of you being pregnant" Jon smiled widely.
I was pregnant?
I'm in denial.
It's not true.
"I'm going to be a father! We're going to have a new player 4! Emile, I love you so much, I love you!" He said crying happy tears and hugging me tightly.
I couldn't help but smile at Jon being happy.
He rubbed my belly and kissed it. "This is such a miracle! My baby is my little miracle!"
"For gosh sakes Jon, I helped make this baby too, stop saying it's all your work!" I groaned.
"There's your mood swings already!" Jon laughed.
"Shut up, you're being an idiot" I groaned.
"Mood swings." He giggled as he continued kissing and cuddling on to my belly.
My god, do I get any love too? I rolled my eyes and groaned.
Jon looked back up at me. "I love you too." He came up and kissed me.
Well, honestly I don't think having a baby isn't all that bad, it would keep me and Jonathan closer together and I can make this child's life a lot better than mine. I'll make sure this child has some awesome parents and they get everything they ever wanted in the world.
I smiled at the thought and began to cry, hugging on to Jon. "I love you, Jonathan, and I also love this miracle we made together..." I cried more on to his shoulder.
"Oh babe, I'll make this child my life, and nothing will let me stop loving them or you." Jon smiled, patting my back.
I know Jon would make the best father, I guess I'd be the best mother.
It'll have all the toys and candy in the world!
As soon as our baby is born everything in our lives will be focused on our child and our child only. We'll make sure it's life is the very best it could ever have, this baby is the best thing in this world I could ever have.
